Los verbos irregulares cambian de forma y sonido al ser conjugados sin seguir un patrón típico. En el idioma inglés existen aproximadamente 200 verbos irregulares.
Agrupa los verbos irregular en inglés!
Si bien, los verbos irregulares en su totalidad no siguen un mismo patrón de conjugación, existen ciertos grupos que lo hacen. Es decir, podemos clasificar los verbos irregulares por tipo. Esto te dará una guía lógica y te facilitará aprender los verbos de una forma más natural y sencilla.
1. Comencemos con los más sencillos. Verbos cuyo infinitivo, participio y pasado son iguales. Ejemplos:

2- Verbos que se conjugan con la “regla” de I-A-U. Estos son verbos que al cambiar estas vocales se logra su conjugación al pasado o pasado participio. Ejemplos:

Con estos verbos irregulares en inglés deberás tener especial atención a la hora de hablar, ya que su pronunciación es distinta a la forma en que se escriben.
3- Verbos que se forman en pasado con una “o” y en participio con “en”. Ejemplos:

4- El tercer y cuarto grupo es uno de los más numerosos, diversos y complejos, ya que las 3 formas de los verbos son diferentes.
El patrón a seguir no está tan claro aunque se podría decir que al pasado se le añade la -O, y al participio una -N después de la -O del pasado o de la forma original del infinitivo.
A este grupo pertenecen verbos como drive, break, speak, o take

5- Estos verbos siguen un patrón muy similar en todos los verbos que lo conforman. Terminando prácticamente todos en -W, siendo su pasado -EW, y su participio como el infinitivo pero añadiéndole una -N. Verbos pertenecientes a este grupo son grow y know. Como excepción en este grupo tenemos fly que aunque no termina en -W sigue el mismo patrón explicado anteriormente

1- SI EL INFINITIVO DEL VERBO TERMINA EN " E" SE LE AÑADE UNA " D"
EXAMPLE : PHONE / PHONED
2- SI EL INFINITIVO DEL VERBO TERMINA EN " Y" PRECEDIDO DE CONSONANTE, SE CAMBIA LA " Y" POR " i" Y SE LE AÑADE " ED"
EXAMPLE : STUDY / STUDIED
3- SI EL INFINITIVO DEL VERBO ESTÁ FORMADO POR UNA SOLA SÍLABA CON LA FORMA "VOCAL - CONSONANTE - VOCAL", SE DUPLICA LA CONSONANTE Y SE AÑADE " ED "
